HOW TO BEST PREPARE FOR THE PHOTOS OF THIS IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR DAY
As a wedding photographer, my goal is for the couples I work with to look at their wedding photographs and really be able to relive the entire day.
The getting-ready portion is an essential part of your wedding story.
Though it might not be as glamorous as other parts of your wedding, there’s still a lot to document and a whole lot of love from those closest to you that can be captured.
HAVE ALL YOUR ACCESSORIES SEPARATED
A great way to maximise the photographer’s time is to put all of the things aside that we need for the detail shots. Here are some of them:

TIDY UP THE PLACE
Chosing a space with an interior style that suits your own would be great. If at home, don’t forget to get rid of all of the day-to-day clutter like electric fans or dog beds.
Fill the space with flowers and your favourite things. And if you want, invite a couple of your favourite people to be there too.
SCHEDULE ENOUGH TIME
The photographer should have at least 1:30-2hs hours to make the getting ready photos.
This time will be divided by bride, groom and detail shots.
It’s very nice to register the anticipation and overwhelming joy of the couple and loved ones.
SIT BY A WINDOW
A big window is ideal when taking photos of the bride getting their hair and makeup done. The makeup artist will also love the extra light!
